Deep Connections: Gratitude

Connections Gratitude Connections Gratitude

With Gratitude

Our first Connections magazine was published in the fall of 2009. The mood was low in our world, similar to these past months. Our vision was to share stories with friends and family of people experiencing the joy and wonder of travel; meeting new people, learning and growing through new experiences and, having fun in the process. More than 11 years later – our aim is the same. These stories will be shared weekly through the month of December.

2020 is our 95th anniversary and not the year any of us expected. Yet as we turn the calendar to 2021, we have valuable context from which to frame these past months. We have lost much but we have also gained much: a greater appreciation for so many of life’s pleasures we often take for granted; being with people and the importance of human connections; freedom of movement – whether it’s across town, across states or around the world; the awareness of our senses and how they may be stimulated and how we long for more stimulation – for the sounds, the sights, the smells, the touch – when we have new experiences.

It’s important we are always open to seeing the good and beauty in our world. It’s not easy at times, but it’s there. We are grateful we were able to stay connected over these past months. Through our Inside Tauck presentations, our Compass newsletter and lectures, stories and online gatherings, we enjoyed more than one million connections with our guests, employees and partners. They did not replace the real thing but served to engage the senses and remind us all of the things we treasure.

We look forward to next week when we will recap this extraordinary year with stories of how we stay connected with our extended Tauck family!

Most sincerely,

Dan Mahar

A Legacy of Resiliance Road Trips Brightening Our World
A Legacy of Resilience

Family values and 95 years of navigating past challenges prepared Tauck for the unprecedented perils of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Road Trips, 95 Years and Counting

Our company began with a road trip through New England in 1925. In honor of our 95th Anniversary, two of our stellar TDs created road trips for our employees that took us through the beauty and fall foliage where it all began.

Brightening Our World

Inspiring messages from our guests lifted our spirits during these unprecedented times.

Tauck Strong Together

Working from home – yet working as closely together as ever – our colleagues have stayed strong together as we plan for our return to the office and to travel; their letters and dedication are a testament to our culture here at Tauck.

Thank You Arthur

Our Tauck Directors created a moving video salute to Arthur Tauck during our annual Tauck Director seminar this past February.

  8. I have numerous tours with Tauck and keep booking more. I still have the 2014 Connections because it has an article about how I met my traveling companion on a Tauck tour. If that article was written today, it would have to mention that I have made six friends, two who live in England, on Tauck tours and that we have traveled together because of you.
