Dear Tauck family of friends:
2020 is our 95th anniversary and we couldn’t be more proud of our journey over these many decades. Still 100% owned and led by members of the Tauck family, we know Arthur Tauck Sr would be very proud of the breadth of experiences offered today and the manner in which the company operates, remaining true to his original vision. 2020 presents new challenges to us all. Over the years we’ve had all kinds of challenging times. We have accumulated learnings and wisdom within the family and across the company to help chart our course.
The phrase “home is where the heart is” has never been more evident than now as our entire company has shifted our operations to their individual homes. And you might be finding yourself more alone at this time. It’s a great time to read books, play cards/games, pursue a hobby and relish some serenity – and reduce our media consumption too! Yet for some on our team this can be a challenging time as our team loves the camaraderie of being together. Our campus is typically humming with great energy. My wife Kiki thought of the “Porch Light” metaphor – a beacon that welcomes people home – perhaps students back from college, or friends and family when they visit. I have shared that our “Porch Light” at our Wilton Woods campus is shining brightly and will always remain “on” and will welcome our team back as soon as we can be there.
And we want you to know that when you’re ready to travel, we’ll be here. And we’ll be ready to serve you as we’ve done for nearly one hundred years.
Wishing you peace and good health during these times.
Daniel W. Mahar, CEO
