And it is a world we could not wait to explore together again.
Africa – from Kenya to Tanzania, Botswana, Rwanda, South Africa and more – Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Costa Rica. These are among the destinations across the globe that we’re once again exploring with guests in 2021; places that stirred our imagination and kept us dreaming of travel. And now – we’re here. We thought we’d share with you a few things our Tauck Directors and guests shared with us from their recent journeys in Africa and Costa Rica:
Africa
We’ve been moved by the heartwarming, positive messages shared by guests on tour this year as their long-awaited return to travel is realized – and we wanted to share with you an emotional message from Tauck Director Chris Mancini that he recorded during the first days of his first safari. Watching it, you can just feel the joy that the anticipation at the start of a journey brings – a camaraderie with fellow guests who are about to share the same adventure, about to embark on extraordinary experiences unlike any other in the Maasai Mara and Serengeti: “Everything is in place. Things are safe. People are happy, and we’re looking forward to getting back out there.” This is his message:
Tauck Director Ivan Hoyos wrote: “Greetings from Zanzibar. It has been a great tour and we have enjoyed our travels together. We have all been surprised at how comfortable it has been to travel in East Africa, despite the current conditions around the word. Our guests could not hold back the freedom of travel any longer. We have been welcomed with open arms everywhere we have visited, and all guests are glad they came. We felt well taken care of along the way and even though this is peak season here in Africa there are less crowds and less people – but just as much wildlife.”
And Jan and Steve Davis, guests who traveled with us on Mountain Gorilla Safari: Kenya, Tanzania & Rwanda, summed their experience up: “In the Kigali Airport. Just completed the FIRST 2021 Mountain Gorilla Safari: Kenya, Tanzania & Rwanda with Tauck. It was absolutely fantastic!!! Our guide, Seth, took great care of us!!! Costa Rica
