A Private Tour of Lobkowicz Palace

Lobkowicz Palace Lobkowicz Palace

We invite you to join one of our longtime Tauck partners, William Rudolf Lobkowicz, for a forty-five minute livestream tour of Lobkowicz Palace. William will personally welcome you to the Palace (where he typically greets Tauck guests in person) and then lead you through the Lobkowicz Collections featuring world-famous paintings by Canaletto, Bruegel, and Velázquez, as well as hand-annotated manuscripts by Mozart and Beethoven.

Once one of Bohemia’s most prominent noble families, the Lobkowiczes were forced to flee their homeland twice under both the Nazi and Communist regimes. Join us for the story of how they returned to their native country to reclaim their confiscated possessions, with the mission to preserve, study, and share them with the world.

We sincerely apologize for those who were affected by the technical difficulties experienced with this event.  If you would like to see William’s tour again, please access this link at 2PM EST this and every upcoming Sunday.

  1. Love viewing the Lobkowicz webinar!! We visited the beautiful site just year with Tauck and would like to know how to download the tour given today to share with our grandchildren, two of whom have been to Prague, but not the Lobkowicz Palace. Their enthusiastic and charming daughter was our guide the evening we enjoyed a delicious dinner there. Barbara L.

  2. So good to have information about where my father’s family came from in the 1890’s. He was born in 1907 and his mother died when he was7. Raised by his eldest sister while father and brothers worked the coal mines of Western Pennsylvania in Imperial near Pittsburgh, there was no teaching about the family origins. All he could tell me was they were from Bohemia near Prague. I have been there once on a Tauck Musical Magic on the Blue Danube. Unfortunately, I did not have time to visit the area his family was from that we found in Ellis Island records.
His branch went by Uslick and an Uncle’s branch used Uzlik and lived in the same general area. The historical information being provided by Tauck is much appreciated!

  3. Thank you for allowing me to “revisit” Nelahozeves Castle which I was privileged to visit and have a farewell dinner on June,3,2018 with Tauck. It was an unforgettable experience . Thank you.
