About Dan Mahar
Dan Mahar is CEO for Tauck, and he’s also a member of our Board of Directors. Dan is responsible for Tauck’s long-term strategic direction, implementing our short and mid-term strategic plans, maintaining our unique corporate culture and commitment to excellence, and overseeing our day-to-day operations in more than 70 countries worldwide. Along with his leadership role at Tauck, Dan also serves as a Board Director for the U.S. Tour Operators Association.
Dan began his career at Tauck in 1996, and served as our VP of Sales and Marketing until 2003. In 2002, he led the launch of Tauck Bridges, serving the needs of the growing market in family travel. Dan also spearheaded the company’s expansion into river cruising.
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, where he double-majored in Economics and Government. The son-in-law of Tauck’s chairman, Arthur Tauck, Jr., Dan and his wife Kiki Tauck Mahar are the parents of five children.
