August 2021 marked an especially happy milestone in Africa – our safaris in Kenya and Tanzania resumed departures, and will be joined by Botswana, South Africa, Egypt and Morocco in a few weeks. We’ve been moved by the heartwarming, positive messages shared by guests on tour this year as their long-awaited return to travel is realized – and we wanted to share with you an emotional message from Tauck Director Chris Mancini that he recorded during the first days of his first safari. Watching it, you can just feel the joy that the anticipation at the start of a journey brings – a camaraderie with fellow guests who are about to share the same adventure, about to embark on extraordinary experiences unlike any other in the Maasai Mara and Serengeti: “Everything is in place. Things are safe. People are happy, and we’re looking forward to getting back out there.” This is his message (below) – and it’s our message to you. You’ll find details for 2021 fall departures in Africa still available at tauck.com/open – and from all of us, we can’t wait to join you back on the road.

Chris is definitely one of the best safari tour directors. So organized which makes adventures exciting and so enjoyable . Can’t wait to have him direct us during another safari.
I am 96 and traveled with Tauck on many exciting journeys. Alas, I am no longer able to travel but have so many wonderful memories of the adventures we shared.
