  1. As an ex Brit gal I enjoyed the Covent Garden scene. Fabulous but take people up to Hampstead/Golders Green/Primrose hill or along the Camden Canal and end up at Regents Park new the Zoo. This takes you out of the chaos of London to discover iconic sites such as
Keats House off Hampstead Heath and Hampstead High Street
The Flask-old pub haunt of Richard Burton Peter O’Toole, Lulu and more
    Jack Straws Castle
The Hampstead Tube Station is the lowest underground in London. It was used as a shelter during the War. You don’t want the lift to break because you could never walk the stairs from the tube station to street level. I wonder which has more stairs, this tube station or the stairs in St Paul’s Cathedral up to the Whispering Gallery which has 259 stairs! I have climbed St Paul’s which is amazing.
Highest viewing domain off Hampstead Heath where you have a spectacular view of the city in a tranquil setting. It is well worth the journey on the Northern Line and take the bus back to central London and see the streets
Head south on Haverstock Hill to Belsize Tube. I can envision Terrence Stamp walking out of the tube and following Samantha Edgar in the opening scene of the film, The Collector.
Samuel Johnson once said “when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life. Enjoy.

  2. The video starring Simon is awesome and brought back memories
of his being with our tour group in September of 2019. The video
is most informative and has made me definitely realize how much
more of London I’d like to see. Thank you at Tauck and Simon
    for a job well done.

  3. I am an IC with NEXION. Thank you for these great videos. So often, we are not able to travel due to timing or finances. These videos are a great resource. Thank you!

  4. As a UK citizen who has worked in London, I felt so proud listening and learning from your portrayal of London. First, my father worked as a weaver on specialist fabrics in a Lancashire cotton mill for 60 years. As the video depicts the process has changed very little in over 200 years. I studied William Hogarth at university and yes, Judy Dench is the very essence of what the UK theatre is about. Finally, I took my husband to Rules for our engagement celebration. As an expert on steak, USA style, I was delighted that he not only was bowled over by the ambience but the food too. You created in a short period the very essence of London and made me feel very homesick too. Thank you.
