The after-hours tour of the Sistine Chapel was one of the greatest moments of my life. I’d studied art history in college. To see this in person was amazing. We had the chapel to ourselves so we were not being bumped by dozens of others. We were allowed to take photos. We had time to gaze at the beauty of it. Plus we got refreshments outside afterwards.
