Here at Tauck, we’re firm believers that to truly connect with a destination, you’ve got to experience it with all your senses… feeling the breeze coming off the water, gazing upon an iconic skyline, hearing conversations in the native tongue… and, perhaps most importantly of all, tasting the cherished flavors of the local cuisine.

That’s why, on a Tauck river cruise, dining is such an integral and unforgettable part of your journey, inviting you to savor every moment of the voyage – and connecting you more deeply with your fellow passengers and the people and places you visit along the way.

Let’s take a closer look at the culinary experiences you can expect when cruising Europe’s legendary waterways with Tauck.

All-inclusive elegance

All meals and snacks onboard, along with some special ones ashore, are included in the upfront price of your journey. Sip on unlimited complimentary beverages – from regional wines and beers to specialty coffee and soft drinks. Whether you’re toasting under the stars or enjoying a morning espresso, these moments are all seamlessly woven into your cruising experience.

Dining your way

Dine when and how you wish, with flexible options to satisfy any taste – all with no reservations or assigned seating.

Compass Rose: Our main dining room offers sit-down meals with carefully curated menus that change nightly.
Arthur’s: A more relaxed vibe, offering casual dining perfect for a lighter meal or late-night snack.
Sun Deck: Weather permitting, dine alfresco or enjoy one of our hosted picnics surrounded by panoramic views.
Room Service: Guests in suites can savor breakfast without leaving the comfort of their own cabins.

Chef’s signature dinner

Each river cruise (excluding Tauck Bridges cruises) features a special chef’s signature dinner – a decadent five-course meal that celebrates the culinary heritage of the regions along the rivers we explore. From a Dutch Shrimp Cocktail to a French Chevre and Brie Cheese Soufflé, each is paired with the perfect wine to immerse guests in a full sensory dining experience.

  1. We were on the Rhine Cruise on the Treasures and was simply wonderful… the food was to die for and the staff was just wonderful. Can’t wait to go on our next cruise with Tauck.

  2. We were on the Rhine River cruise, Amsterdam to Basel, in 2018 and to this day it has been one of the best travel experiences! Airport-to-Airport service (even our bags were taken to the check-in counter at the Zuric airport by the cab driver). Food was excellent, all offshore excursion were hassle free. Always a sweet surprise waited for us as we returned from the excursions. Truck had their own coaches everywhere. Knowledgeable local guides added to the value of a great trip. Courteous staff, local entertainment on board the boat and a great tour manager made it a memorable trip. The suit was very modern and spacious. We have done other trips with Tauck too with jus excellent experiences.
